OpenRCT2 v0.4.19.1 “The Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch” released!

When King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table arrive at Caerbannog, the cave is guarded by a seemingly harmless little bunny. As such, we thought it would be a cute name for OpenRCT2 v0.4.19.

Well, just like the rabbit in the film, this release turned out to hide a nasty surprise, in the form of weather handling getting royally messed up. Thankfully, the killer rabbit is easily defeated, and so we’d like to present OpenRCT2 v0.4.19.1: “The Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch”!

Here is the very short changelog:

• Fix: [#23719] Prevent staff statistics from overflowing.
• Fix: [#23771] Weather transitions are horribly broken.

As this release replaces v0.4.19, you can find more information about the new features here.

N.B.: if you have a save that has broken weather, it will need to be manually fixed. We are working on that, but to avoid making the problem worse, we have opted to fix the corruption from happening in the first place, and take more time to work out a good way to fix the affected saves.

In the meantime, however, you can try correcting the problem yourself using cheats. Open the Cheats menu via the toolbar or a hotkey (Ctrl+Alt+C by default), go to the weather tab and force the weather to something else - any entry will do. This has worked for some people.
